UNICODE DAX Function (Text)

Returns the number (code point) corresponding to the first character of the text.

Syntax

UNICODE ( <Text> )

Parameter	Attributes	Description
Text		Text is the character for which you want the Unicode value.

Return values

Scalar A single integer value.

A numeric code for the first character in a text string.

Remarks

The Unicode encoding used by DAX is UTF-16.

Examples

--  UNICHAR returns a character given the unicode value.
--  UNICODE returns the Unicode value for a character
